The March for Science will start the Morning of April 22nd, at 10:00am. It will begin with a celebration of Science featuring speakers and events at Tollefson Plaza in downtown Tacoma followed by a march through downtown.






Getting There

We are recommending that participants park at Freight House Square/Tacoma Dome Transit Center and take the Link Rail to the assembly point at Tollefson plaza.

Here are just a few of the inspiring speakers who have committed to supporting the March for Science

Congressman Derek Kilmer: represents the 6th district and serves on both the Interior and Environment Subcommittee, as well as the Commerce, Justice, and Science Subcommittee

Congressman Denny Heck: represents the 10th congressional district and co-sponsored legislation to accelerate America's transition to clean energy

Ryan Mello: Executive Director of the Pierce Conservation District and City Councilman

Dr. Sheri Tonn: founder of Citizens for a Healthy Bay and professor of chemistry at Pacific Lutheran Univeristy

John O’Loughlin: Assistant Director of Environmental Services for the City of Tacoma

Haneen Rasool: student at the University of Puget Sound pursuing a double major in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Religion

Dr. Steven Neshyba: professor of chemistry at the University of Puget Sound




The march begins at Tollefson Plaza on Pacific Avenue and will proceed throught downtown Tacoma. The route is approximately two miles.
